your are right about me holdin on to the old days. my main raid period was during BC on my warlock, and its just a bad habit of mine to get gemed for the bonus even if they are unecessary. i will check out the haste and see where my dps goes.

I'm a destro lock as well, and i know our talents and buffs, tyvm. Haste provides overall more than crit until the soft cap, and spell power gives you more than either, which is why you dont see warlocks gemming for crit anymore. You also have 600 spirit, which isn't alot, and you'll be getting more even when you dont gem for it. Spirit is a marginal stat for a destro warlock, not an amazing one.

was unaware that you were a warlock, i have no need to tell you how conflagrate works, my thinking was that haste was not as necessary because of that talent, although still very helpful, i just really enjoy the crits. and i figured that it would come with gear so i was trying to get the biggest bang for my buck with the crit gems.

the only reason im still rockin those boots is because i have been unable to get anything better and since i do mingle in the pvp area i put the resil on them. and believe it or not spirit is amazing for locks these days i gain 500 spl power with fel armor on because of all the spirit that i do have. and i gem for crit because of the bacdraft talent that i have, 30% haste on next 3 destro moves everytime i use conflagrate, conflagratw has a 10 sec CD so back draft is up nearly all the time.

Its not so much that we want any specific raiding spec from locks, its the willingness to do so for specific fights we may need you on, such as a head tank for mimiron, or something else.

Gear looks fine, however you're still sticking to the past a little with gemming crit instead of straight spellpower or even haste. You don't have a meta so i see no real point in gemming for socket bonuses that are absolutely horrible (stam and spirit socket bonuses, eew), as well as a resilience gem in the pvp boots, which is fine and all for pvp, but not when you're going to be competing with another lock or 2 for a raiding spot.

Overview:
spec - the 3 points in the affliction tree for hit is unnecessary, seeing you'll be over hit cap in raids with a shadow priest or boomkin, however its acceptable if you frequently raid without either of those. We always have a shadowpriest, so it's something to look into if you do get into suffer. Other than that the spec looks fine. Its got some slight alterations beyond the common destro raid spec but that's fine.
gear- besides the gems, everything looks good. everything's enchanted, and although you're gear isn't really up to par with ulduar, that shouldnt be a problem if you can pull the dps you say you can.

i am much more comfortable with the destro tree than any other, i have a steady rotation and i cant lie i really love seeing all those crits. but i guess if you needed me to switch some things around i could.
